Fort Erie residents can vote online, at an advance poll or in person on Election Day. Here is the key information on how Ward 2 residents can vote and when.

Eligible voters can vote online from any device with a secure internet connection during the online voting period.
You will need:
- The 16-digit Personal Identification Number provided in your Voter Notification LetterYour date of birth

An accessible ballot-marking device will be available at the advance polls. Voters requiring accessible voting assistance are encouraged to use one of these voting opportunities.
Make Sure You Are Registered
Your name must be on the voters’ list before you can vote. Elections Ontario maintains the Permanent Register of Electors used to prepare municipal voters’ lists.
The provincial deadline for additions or changes to the voter list was in August. Beginning September 1, 2026, residents must contact the town directly to register.
Who Can Vote?
You are eligible to vote in the 2026 Fort Erie Municipal and School Board Election if:
You are a Canadian citizen
You are at least 18 years old
You live in, own or rent property in Fort Erie
You are not prohibited from voting by law
What to Bring
When voting at an advance poll or on Election Day, please bring your Voter Notification Letter and acceptable identification showing name and address.
